Many improvements are planned for the next edition of ERIC. The most important mission has been in exapanding the catalog with a tentative goal of including every known issue insofar as the present format can accommodate. Other changes include expansion into the Byzantine corpus, rarity and market pricing and many other enhancements.

How can I help?

I am always looking for previously unlisted material. This includes coins not in RIC or newer references as well as recent auction catalogues. It is most helpful that any such coins known to you be added to the Tantalus database with the keyword "unlisted" somewhere in the record (reference or note fields). In addition to pre-organizing the information for me it tags the coin with a permanent, referenceable id which will be listed in the book. If you can't list it in Tantalus please submit your coins via email attachment.

ERIC II will also feature several guest writers who have adopted one or two reigns which are their specialty. If you have a good grasp on the emperor or empress of your choice and would like to revise my draft for that section(s) please contact me via email.

Current progress
