This ruler was one of the usurpers who gave Philip ulcers. Raised by his soldiers as emperor, he had under his control Syria and made his capital Antioch. For unknown reasons, however, those same soldiers killed him some time afterward before Rome could settle the issue militarily. There are only some 18 known coins of this emperor.
